DAYS WE'D RECOMMEND3

After our first trip down the coast to Coyote, we're certain this will be the next big area of Costa Rica. The beaches are amazing — Coyote is long and vast, the waves are similar to Tamarindo, and there's nobody there.

We'd take friends down to show them the natural beauty, and we loved riding our ATV along the coast. If we ever bought property in Costa Rica again, it would be down here.

Questions we actually get

Is Coyote worth visiting?

If you want untouched, empty beaches, absolutely. We think it's the next big area of Costa Rica — long, vast, Tamarindo-like waves, and nobody there. It's where we'd buy again.

How many days do you need?

About three, with a few nights if you want to explore deeper down the coast.

Do you need a car?

Yes — a car or, better, an ATV. The roads are bumpy and the beaches are spread out and remote.
